Role Summary/Purpose This position is responsible for conducting Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities, under the direction and supervision of the Campus EHS Manager. The primary focus is to conduct EHS inspections, maintain EHS recordkeeping systems, conduct or assist with EHS employee site trainings, and participate in other EHS program activities to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain all required records and documentation.
Assist EHS team in data analysis to identify trends.
Develop corrective and preventative actions.Participate on Multi Site Teams, network with other sites.
Own or actively participate in one or more Enviromental Health & Safety (EHS) Framework Element.
Facilitate site specific Enviromental Health & Safety (EHS) Training requirements.Supply, operate, and maintain personal protective equipment and ensure availability of safety supplies and PPE equipment.
Verify that safety equipment such as Dosimetry and PPE are available to employees, and monitor their use of such equipment to ensure proper fit and use.
Prepare and review specifications and orders for the purchase of safety equipment, ensuring that proper features are present and that items conform to health and safety standards.
Report the results of environmental contaminant analyses, and recommend corrective measures to be applied.
Conduct worker studies in order to prevent instances of disease or illness in job related functions.
EHS Framework has a formal process for reporting, investigating and follow-up of any injury/illness in conjuction with the EHS Department.
Qualifications/Requirements

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Comply with EHS regulations and Policies
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience understanding EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Education - 2 or 4 year post-secondary degree, with coursework in occupational and environmental safety and health
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
