Generac Power Systems Join the leader in the power industry! Our Waukesha, WI location is seeking several Technical Service Specialists for our Parts, Service and Warranty Division.
In this high impact position, you will be a critical team player in a key department that serves our independent and industrial dealer base.
Responsibilities include:
Providing technical phone assistance and support to our authorized dealer network on all Generac products and administering labor time for dealer repairs
Gathering product failure information
Analyzing failure to determine root causes
Maintaining service network information
Troubleshooting and repairing product in the service shop as needed
Basic
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a technical or related field OR currently enrolled in a degree program
Valid drivers license
Strong foundation of basic mechanical and electrical fundamentals
Solid knowledge of engine maintenance and troubleshooting to include: air cooled and liquid cooled units; gas, diesel, LP and natural gas fuel systems
Intermediate computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to keyboard 40 WPM while on the phone
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:
Comfortable with the hands on diagnostics of a variety of engine driven, mechanical and electrical systems
Excellent phone and customer service skills along with sound reasoning skills
Ability to stay calm in high pressure situations
Ability to travel once or twice per year
Experience taking inbound calls
Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail
This position involves training at our Whitewater, WI facility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
