The After School Care Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher/ASC Coordinator in implementing Montessori philosophy and method of education.
The After School Care Assistant is responsible for student supervision, and varying aspects and degrees of environment management and preparation, as assigned by the Lead Teacher/ASC Coordinator and includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities and duties:
?Ensures the safety and security of each child.
?Provides support to each child by reinforcing behavior guidelines.
Specific duties are subject to direction from the Lead Teacher/ASC Coordinator.
?Helps maintain an attractive, well-ordered, and prepared environment that appeals to the child.
?Guides/redirects each child providing opportunities to choose, problem-solve, make decisions, and accept responsibility.
?Maintains proactive and responsive communication with the Lead Teacher/ASC Coordinator, children, and other MSOW employees.
?Solicits input from the Lead Teacher/ASC Coordinator to ensure efficient operation of the environment.
Prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending and reaching.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Employment contingent upon background check and drug screen.
Flexible schedule , Monday through Friday, Schedule time between - 2:
45pm - 6:
