JOB
Summary:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for engaging our customers, prospects, and other stakeholders online by developing and publishing original content, responding to questions, comments and reviews, fostering an online community, and maintaining a positive brand image.
Under the direction of the Social Media Supervisor, they will assist in leveraging social media to help support of the organization's marketing and communications strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Write, edit, publish, and share engaging content that builds and elevates Generac's brand reach, experience, and reputation In partnership with the internal and external subject matter experts and the Social Media Supervisor, create editorial calendars and syndication schedules to drive top content performance and enhance Generac's online presence Collaborate with the creative team on the creation of social media graphics and videos.
Ensure compliance with social media and brand guidelines Partner with the digital marketing team on paid ad executions Assist with the execution of lead generation activities leveraged on social media platforms to help drive sales Respond to inquiries for Generac and its accompanying brands.
Act as the brand ambassador in responding to comments, direct messages, ratings and reviews, and questions Seek out and contribute to conversations relevant to Generac's products and services on external social media sites and blogs Measure and report on key social media performance indicators.
Partner with the digital team to ensure web traffic driven by social media is successfully tracked and measured Using appropriate listening tools and technology, monitor trends in the markets we serve, and appropriately apply knowledge to our social media strategies and tactics Educate employees across Generac on social media best practices, strategies, and tactics Support the internal teams at live and online events, as needed Other duties as assigned MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communication, new media or relevant field, or equivalent experience 1
years of experience managing social media business processes PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok Strong content creation experience, particularly in writing and editing Excellent presentation and communication skills Hands-on experience with social media management software such as Sprout Social Background in paid social media advertising, execution, reporting, and optimization Experience with managing brand reputation on ratings and review sites KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Working knowledge of major social media channels as well as blogging platforms (insert types here, IE:
TikTok) Strong content creation experience, particularly in writing and editing Excellent presentation and communication skills Hands-on experience with social content management systems, such as Hootsuite and/or Sprout Social Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
