Work Schedule:
this position is intended to work year around, 10-15 hours per week.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Example of Duties Supervises part-time staff.
Operates ice equipment.
Assists in running Learn to Skate.
Watches over ice skaters (on the ice, while skating), ensuring safe activity.
Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies.
Opens and closes the facility.
Provides great customer service.
Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping, and trash removal).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with at least an 8th grade education.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Ability to skate.
Some recent supervisory work experience.
Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience.
Operation of ice equipment is desirable.
Ability to provide, and follow, oral and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10-20 lbs, on an occasional basis.
Supplemental Information This is a limited term position available from April though November.
When the term is over, it is considered a voluntary resignation.
Prior to hiring, the final candidate may be subject to work/education/certification reference(s), and pass a criminal background and driver's license check.
