CNC Operator/Set-up - 1st Shift

00pm Up to 5% Quarterly Bonus As a CNC Operator/Set Up Machinist, your goal is to safely set up and operate CNC machines, finishing casted parts as per customer specifications.
You will do this by:
Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes Following all safety procedures and precautions Wearing all required PPE and maintains safe work practices Following our Quality system and all ISO procedures and work instructions Maintaining housekeeping and 5S in the work area Setting up and operating CNC lathes, CNC VTLs and other equipment per program directions and to fulfill customer specifications for finished parts Using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators and others to measure all part features and to check and/or inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances.
Reading and interpreting all blueprints, drawings and operation sheets Monitoring and controlling quality of production pieces through adjustment of machine and/or tooling Making mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements as necessary and must be able to troubleshoot issues and escalate when required Maintaining all documentation as required Maintaining fluid levels in machines that employee is using Conducting daily and operator preventative maintenance on work equipment Proactively completing setups to minimize down time and utilizes LEAN concepts Maintaining tooling inventories Collecting and removing recyclable chips and shavings and transports to reclaiming area The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years CNC Setup Machining experience Preferred
Qualifications:
5
years of CNC Setup Machining experience with both short and long runs Experience working on Mori Seiki, G&L, Haas, Okuma machines Lean Manufacturing training Physical Visual Demands:
Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to wear appropriate, required PPE Work Environment:
