PDS Tech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an open position.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include managing multiple projects and performing detailed engineering work to improve product performance, quality, reliability and or cost. Work content also includes considerable interaction with suppliers, on site manufacturing and peer engineering teams. Other related tasks consist of creating and managing engineering documentation such as drawings, changes notices and validation documents to meet all requirements for product changes. Engineering tasks include planning, design optimization, conducting rigorous tests, documenting and communicating results.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of product engineering experience with demonstrated problem solving skills. Individual must have good project management skills to work independently and within the larger team. Required technical skills include basic engineering calculations and hands-on abilities. Additional skill areas include PDM (Product Data Management) to manage engineering documentation design changes.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
BS degree Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree.
Experience with GE Healthcare engineering work systems; eNPI, ePDM, eLibrary, DDTS, etc.
Experience with the design and manufacture of high tech, reliable products.
Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment as leader or peer.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency to complete technical documentation.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Office Suite.
Desired:
GE Healthcare product engineering experience
5-10 years engineering experience
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check.
If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
